We currently have an excellent opportunity with a leading North East based Food manufacturing company.
As part of an overall expansion plan for the site they are looking to recruit a Graduate Engineer to support the business for a 1 year contract.
Job Specification:
The Role:
- To implement best practice and support site and business strategies through the development and involvement of team and individuals, ensuring achievement of key performance indicators through continuous improvement.
- Maintenance of the fabric of the building, all support plant and production machinery.
- Support the Management of capital projects varying in size and complexity from conception through commissioning to handover to the production team.
- Support the Management of maintenance improvement projects including root cause analysis, costings, planning and delivery to handover.
- To ensure the site drawing register and drawings are managed, controlled and modified to ensure an accurate and reliable source of information.
- Manage and maintain the site software back up’s and manage any obsolescence across the Site to ensure that all systems remain serviceable at all times.
- Maintain and develop the engineering spares stock control system for the site and continue its integration across group.
- Ensure the site complies with local water by-laws and maintain accurate records of any modifications.
- Implement and manage a control of change systems for engineering works across the site.
- Document all legislative compliance requirements for the site and ensure these are correctly recorded on the maintenance management system.
- Identify and propose plant / equipment improvements to ensure continuous improvement of plant performance.
- Identify and propose capital expenditure Proposals that could provide cost savings or increased performance to the business.
The Person
The ideal candidate will have experience within the food manufacturing sector though this requirement is not essential.
An Engineering Degree is required in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge of the following is a bonus though not essential.
- Basic Health and Safety.
- Cap Ex Projects
- Maintenance Improvement Projects
- Data and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- An understanding of SAP.
- Experience of CMMS Systems.
- Experience of AutoCAD and the ability to produce Single Line Electrical Drawings.
